🚨 User Security Update Starts Jan 1, 2026 – Password Managers Are a Separate User Security Option
If you already have full coverage with EasyITGuys, you may not need to take any action. If you are expecting a password manager to be included with Device Security, please read this notice. We are updating how we structure security layers so responsibilities are clear and coverage matches modern standards. Password managers are a user security function, not a device security function, which is why they are handled separately.
Why we are making this change
Password managers protect the user layer. They reduce password reuse, improve password strength, and help prevent credential based attacks. Because this is tied to user identity and behavior, it belongs in the User Security layer, not inside Device Security.
We have also upgraded Device Security to focus on modern device protection, including 24/7 monitoring, threat hunting, and a cyber warranty, which are higher impact protections at the device layer.
What is changing
- Password managers are not included by default inside Device Security
- Password managers are available as an add on under User Security, or as a standalone purchase
Available options and pricing
Standard Password Manager
- $5 per month per user
Password Manager with Breach Watch
- $8 per month per user
- We highly recommend this option because it adds monitoring that helps identify compromised credentials faster
What is not changing
- You can still get a password manager through EasyITGuys at any time
- Password managers can be purchased even if you do not have full user support coverage
- Our layered approach remains the same. Each layer is clear, optional, and designed to fit your business needs
Pro tip for success
Password managers have a learning curve, especially when using the browser extension.
We recommend this approach for the best experience
- Start by using the password vault first
- Once you are comfortable, then add the browser extension for faster logins and autofill
This reduces frustration and helps users build confidence.
Why Device Security includes different tools now
We have shifted Device Security to focus on modern device protection, including items like 24/7 threat hunting and managed detection and response, plus a $100,000 cyber warranty when requirements are met across the account. This helps protect operations and reduces risk at the device level.
